For patients with mild to moderate gum disease (bone loss), we can treat them here in our office to hopefully reverse their gum problems and prevent future tooth loss due to the destruction of the bone that surrounds and supports their teeth. The patient's mouth will be anesthetized where they have affected bone and soft tissue and our dentists will remove the tartar, plaque, and other debris that is below the gumline. Any infected soft tissue may also be removed at this time. This type of treatment has been very successful in helping our patients keep their teeth for as long as possible.
